Closable mushroom ventilator,, Stainless steel closable mushroom ventilator for fresh air intake. Once the Ovatek life raft is boarded, the ventilator can be opened for fresh air circulation.
Nylon grab line,, The nylon grab line located at the ceiling is used for displacement inside the Ovatek. It provide support when the crew is moving inside the life raft.
Front hatch,, The front hatch gives access for the propulsion and steering of the life raft, if required. This hatch is not intended for boarding purpose but still can be open from outside and inside. A closable watertight vent is also included for fresh air supply.
Solar A kit bag,, This Solar A kit bag needs replacement every 4 years. It includes three days water supply, three days food supply, waterproof flashlight, knife and bailer, sea anchors, ovatek fishing gear, radar deflector, whistle, thermal blankets, parachute signals, hand flares, smoke signals, seasickness medicine, first aid kit, throwing line and ring buoy.
Sea anchor,, The sea anchor is a drag inducing device that drags behind the life raft. When properly deployed, it prevents from overturning and drifting. Once clear of the vessel in distress, the sea anchor should be deployed. The anchor line needs to be long enough to give it the lever arm needed to be effective.
Interior light,, The interior light powered by lithium batteries (with a 5 years storage life ) should be on during boarding at night and then only when needed. The maximum battery life is 12 hours.
Lithium batteries,, Lithium batteries with a 5 years storage life and a capacity of 12 hours are used for the positioning & interior light. Simply pull the cord to activate the batteries. The tab can be inserted back to shutoff the light when they are not required.
Rugged watertight fiberglass hatch,, Rugged watertight fiberglass hatch c/w stainless steel hinge and a porthole. Outside/Inside emergency pull cord for easy opening/closing of the hatch. A foldable stainless steel ladder is also available for easy boarding.
Boarding ladder,, This boarding ladder makes boarding easy and safe when required. The ladder fold over flat on the hatch for compact storage.
Hand pump,, A hand pump is available in case water gets inside the Ovatek. Two paddles are also available for propulsion and steering. You may paddle from the bow or stern hatch openings.
Ladder retrieving line,, Once all occupants are inside the liferaft, the ladder retrieving line is used to raise the foldable ladder . The retrieving line is also required for the rain water collector system that collects rain water from the stern hatch with a plastic collection bag.
Grab strap,, This grab strap is to facilitate the entry of the Ovatek. While climbing the ladder at the back of the liferaft, the survivors use this strap to pull themselves inside the Ovatek.
