Tie down,, Made of heavy-duty UV resistant nylon webbing, the tie down of each raft is fastened to the mounting bracket and can be tightened by means of turnbuckles placed on each side.
Positioning light,, Positioning light powered by a lithium battery (with a 5 years storage life) is used to maximize the chances of a successful rescue at sea. The positioning light should be activated once the iferaft is launched by pulling the battery cord.
Closable mushroom ventilator,, This stainless steel closable mushroom ventilator is used for fresh air intake. Simply need to adjust the air flow by turning the handle. Completely waterproof when closed.
Reflective tape,, Reflective tape for enhanced nighttime reflective brightness. Maximize the chances of a successful rescue at night.
Lugs,, These stainless steel lugs are to facilitate the handling of the Ovatek life raft during the initial installation and at any moment the life raft needs to be raised or towed.
Fiberglass hatch,, Rugged watertight fiberglass hatch c/w stainless steel hinge & window. Outside/Inside emergency pull cord for easy opening/closing of the hatch.
Boarding ladder,, This boarding ladder makes boarding easy and safe when required. The ladder fold over flat on the hatch for compact storage.
Internal water ballast,, The Ovatek 7 with it’s bottom weighted keel design & an internal water ballast (in the keel), provides great stability in rough seas. The internal water ballast fills with water when the raft is in the water.
3 strands nylon line,, 3 strands nylon line attached all around the Ovatek. Helps the crew to stay close to the life raft in case boarding has to be achieved in the water. The crew gathers around the life raft and hold the lifeline to keep it stable during boarding.
Aluminum mounting base,, The aluminum mounting base c/w cradle needs to be bolted at a suitable location on the boat. The life raft is mounted on top of the cradle and secured in place with hydrostatic release system, turnbuckles and the tie down straps.
Hydrostatic release,, The Ovatek life rafts use an hydrostatic release that needs to be replaced every four years. This device will automatically deploy the Ovatek at a depth of 5 to 10 feet. In addition, this device is installed with a manual bypass that allows the crew to free the raft in case of deck boarding.
Ventilator,, Located on the bow hatch, this stainless steel ventilator with an aerodynamic design sucks out stale air with vaccum force. It keeps the environment mildew free and dry. Completely waterproof.
Front hatch,, Not intended for boarding purpose, the front hatch will be used for sea anchor setting and, if needed, for paddling. Watertight, it still can be opened from outside.
Lug,, This stainless steel lug is required to attach the sea anchor & in case of towing/handling.
